The study investigates the preparation of a face cream using phycocyanin as a raw material and explores its antioxidant,UV protection, and moisturizing properties. The face cream was prepared by processing and uniformly mixing two-phase raw materials:A(Peg-100 Stearin.Stearate,Cetyl alcohol, glycerin stearate, liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate)and B(glycerin, butanediol, xanthan gum,dis odium EDTA,phycocyanin).Ascorbic acid was used as the control group. The DPPH radical scavenging rate, reducing power, total antioxidant activity of phycocyanin,as well as the UV protection and moisturizing abilities of the cream were measured. Results showed that at a phycocyanin concentration of 1.6 mg/mL,the DPPH scavenging rate reached 89.20%,with strong reducing and total antioxidant capacities. The cream's moisturizing rate, hydration rate, and UV protection ability were superior to those of a commercially available AUPRES cream sample.Using phycocyanin as raw material not only enhances its functional properties but also effectively utilizes natural biological components, opening new directions for the development of cosmetics.
