The exercise system occupies an important position in the Chinese textbooks,playing an important role in both teaching and learning activities.After the implementation of the"Double Reduction Policy"in 2021,improving the quality of exercise system has become a top priority in the current compilation of the Chinese textbooks.On the basis of sorting out the development process of the Chinese textbook exercise system over the past century,its compiling logic can be summarized as follows.The Chinese textbook exercise system is an important means to implement the functions of textbooks;the design of the Chinese textbook exercise is an important basis for evaluating textbooks;and the Chinese textbook exercise system is an important carrier of the development of educational principles.It is thus proposed that in developing the Chinese textbook exercise system,more attention should be paid to the function of assisting students,reasonable quantities,a further connection of its content with students'daily life,and giving full play to the formal advantages of the exercise system.
