The film Australia moulds a successful“Other”image Daisy, who shows how aborigines in Australia are reduced to the“Other”under white rulers’oppression and domination, revealing their confusions and helplessness when identifying them-selves in double identities between the“Other”and self. Owing to the significance of the Other images in post-colonialism, this article analyses the Other images of Daisy, her self-awareness, her revolt and her dilemmas, aiming at incarnating the film’s theme, to construct an equal harmonious tolerant Australia.
