Yield optimization of pyocyanin and its degradation of nitrogenous compounds
In order to explore the influence of bacterial extracellular secretion on the degradation ability of nitrogenous compounds,PYO produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa was taken as the research object.A single factor experiment and a statistical model of RSM(response surface method)were carried out to optimize the PYO.The effect mechanism of PYO on the degradation was discussed by electrochemical test, and PYO was applied to the degradation nitrogenous compounds. The results show that three factors significantly affecting PYO are C/N mass ratio,pH and Mg2+mass concentration.Through the analysis of variance and evaluation, the optimal value of C/N ratio,pH and Mg2+mass concentration are 24,7.9 and 0.96 g/L,respectively,and the output of PYO is 10.74 mg/L.Electrochemical test indicates that the improvement of degradation rates is due to the strong oxidation-reducing ability of PYO.When PYO is used in nitrogenous compounds, the TOC and TN removal rate reach 72%and 92%,indicating that PYO can promote the degradation of indole and pyridine.A reference can be provided for the study of PYO for wastewater treatment.
