Research on multidimensional modification based on vermiculite
Based on the unique layered structure and high-temperature expansion characteristics of vermiculite, the effects of different concentrations and types of inorganic additives on the modification of vermiculite with different particle sizes were investigated to improve the expansion multiplier of modified vermiculite at high temperature from multiple dimensions. The microscopic morphology and phase composition of various types of modified vermiculite were analyzed. The results show that the volume expansion of modified vermiculite with NaHCO3 and KCl is higher than that of unmodified vermiculite under the same temperature conditions. When the same concentrations of NaHCO3 and KCl are added, with the increase of vermiculite particle size from 0.2 mm to 0.8 mm,the volume expansion multiples of modified vermiculite increase with the increase of temperature and with the increase of particle size in the temperature range of 100-900 ℃,and the modification effect of adding KCl is better than that of adding NaHCO3.With the gradual increase of the concentrations of these two inorganic salt additives, the expansion multiples of modified vermiculite both show a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.
