Operation characteristics of magnetic bearing variable frequency chillers
In order to conduct in-depth research on the operating characteristics of MBVFC(magnetic bearing variable frequency chillers)under different operating conditions,the lumped parameter method was used to establish the steady-state model of the maglev compressor,the condenser model,the electronic expansion valve model and the evaporator model.The efficiency of the MBVFC and the ordinary chillers were compared and analyzed under different partial load rates PLR,different cooling water temperatures and different chilled water flows.The results show that the efficiency of MBVFC is higher at low PLR,while the highest efficiency of ordinary chiller occurs at the rated condition.When the temperature of inlet cooling water is reduced from 30℃ to 20℃,the COP of MBVFC and ordinary chillers increases,but the increase of COP of the MBVFC is greater than that of the ordinary chillers.When the system PLR is 0.6,the COP of ordinary chillers increases by 14%,and the COP of MBVFC increases by 68%.When the chilled water flow is reduced from 150 m3/h to 60 m3/h,the efficiency of the ordinary chiller increases by 1.4%,and the efficiency of the MBVFC increases by 4.9%.The results can provide some suggestions for the operation control strategy of MBVFC.
