Disk reactors are often used in polymer devolatilization processes because of their excellent mass transfer performance. The CFD numerical simulation method was used to study the film-forming characteristics and surface renewal characteristics of the horizontal biaxial stirred disc reactor under different operating conditions and the fluid volume function method was used to simulate. It is found that compared with back-rotation,counter-rotation has more advantages in membrane area, surface update frequency and power. The greater the viscosity of the polymer, the thicker the liquid film, and the rotational speed is the main factor affecting the average update frequency of the liquid film.Comparative analysis of the devolatilization performance of three types of new disc structures under different working conditions shows that the scalloped disc surface updates quickly, consumes less power, but has the least liquid holding capacity.
