Study on a completion fluid system with barite chelating agent
Barite-weighted drilling fluid is easy to enter the reservoir rock pore throat under the positive pressure difference, seriously blocking the seepage channel and polluting the formation, which is extremely difficult to remove and affects the output of oil and gas Wells. In order to solve the above problems,a chelating agent AHJ-1 was prepared by using 1,3-dibromopropane modified DTPA to increase the dissolution ability of barite, and a set of barite chelating completion fluid system was formed together with catalyst, conversion agent and glue breaker. The experimental results showed that the modified chelating agent had a stronger ability to dissolve barite.Under the action of oxalic acid and conversion agent, the reactivity of Ba2+ and AHJ-1 molecules was improved, and the conversion of low solubility BaSO4 to high solubility BaCO3 was promoted, and the solubility of AHJ-1 solution to barite was enhanced. In addition, the barite chelated completion fluid system effectively dissolved the barite mud cake and the mud cake solid phase in the core pore throat, which improved the permeability recovery value of polluted core and was conducive to improving oil and gas productivity.
