Preparation and properties of niobium doped barium titanate
In this article, barium titanate powder and ceramics doped with niobium pentoxide were prepared using the molten salt method, and the products were characterized and analyzed for their properties. The barium titanate powder doped with Nb2O5 was investigated at different sintering temperatures, different molten salt ratios, and different amounts of doped(Nb2O5)substances.The phase structure, microstructure, and Raman analysis of Nb2O5 doped barium titanate powder were analyzed using X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and Raman spectroscopy(Raman),The effect of Nb2O5 doping on ferroelectricity and dielectric properties of barium titanate ceramics was also investigated. The results showed that when the sintering temperature is 1000℃,the molten salt ratio is nNaCl∶nKCl=5∶5,and the amount of Nb2O5 doped is 0.10mol,the prepared barium titanate ceramics have the best performance. At this time, the ferroelectric properties with a coercive field(Ec)measuring approximately 1.4385kV·cm-1,and a residual polarization strength(Pr)of approximately 0.1415μC·cm-2.The dielectric constant shows a trend of first increasing, then decreasing, and then increasing again with the increase of temperature at low frequencies.
