Exploring the extraction process of saponins from Aralia elata leaves by using the extraction rate of total saponins and the extraction rate of two quality marker saponin components as indicators.The effects of the soaking time of medicinal herbs to saturation,the amount of ethanol solution used during reflux extraction,extraction time,extraction times,and ethanol solution concentration on the extraction rate of saponins from Aralia elata leaves were investigated.The orthogonal experimental method was used to optimize the extraction process of total saponins from Aralia elata leaves.The results showed that the medicinal herbs reached absorption saturation after soaking in ethanol aqueous solution for more than 3h;Adding an 8-fold amount of 70％ethanol aqueous solution for reflux extraction three times,each time for 2.5h,the total saponins extraction rate and two index saponin extraction rates of Aralia elata leaves obtained were both higher.
