Preparation of antibacterial moisture permeable composite membrane for air dehumidification
In order to improve the dehumidification performance and antibacterial performance of the membrane heat exchanger,an antibacterial and moisture permeable composite membrane was prepared by adding lithium chloride(LiCl)as hydrophilic additive and silver nitrate(AgNO3)as antibacterial agent into polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)aqueous solution to make casting solution and polypropylene(PP)membrane as a support layer.A film moisture permeability measurement platform was built to test the water vapor permeability of the composite film and the antibacterial properties of the composite film. The results showed that the water vapor permeability of the composite film increased with the increase of lithium chloride content. The composite film with 5%lithium chloride content was 1.79 times higher than that without lithium chloride and 2.67 times higher than that of commercial paper film. After adding silver nitrate, the moisture permeability of the film did not change significantly. The antibacterial experiment results showed that the composite film had antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus epidermidis and Escherichia coli, and had stronger antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus epidermidis.
