Extraction process optimization of total saponins from Hawthorn with deep eutectic solvents
In this paper,ultrasound-assisted extraction of total saponins from Hawthorn by natural eutectic solvent,based on the single factor experiment,the process parameters were optimized by response surface method.The results showed that the extraction rate of natural eutectic solvent formed by hydrogen bond interaction between choline chloride and ethanol is better than that of other combinations.The optimum extraction process of total saponins from Hawthorn is as follows:The molar ratio of choline chloride to ethanol in eutectic solvent(Deep Eutectic Solvents,DESs)was 1∶3,the ratio of material to liquid of medicinal material to DESs was 1∶8,the water content was 20%,and the ultrasonic time was 25min.Under these conditions,the total saponins extracted from Hawthorn was(7.21±0.15)%.Compared with the traditional solvent extraction method,this method is green,efficient,and easy to operate.It can provide a reference basis for extracting saponins from traditional Chinese medicine with natural eutectic solvent.
