Catalytic synthesis of biodiesel by double-site sulfonic acid functionalized ionic liquid
A double-site sulfonic acid functionalized ionic liquids[DPPE-PS][p-TSA]based on 1,2-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane were prepared, and used for catalyzing the esterification of lauric acid and ethanol to produce biodiesel.According to the single factor experimental method, the effects of reaction conditions on the conversion of lauric acid were also investigated.Under the optimized reaction conditions:catalyst amount of 4wt%of lauric acid quality,alcohol/acid molar ratio of 8:1,and reaction time of 4h at a temperature of 80℃,the conversion of lauric acid was up to 94.7%.Furthermore,the[DPPE-PS][p-TSA]ionic liquid still maintained good catalytic activity after repeated use for 5 times.
