Research on wax deposition characteristics of high wax crude oil pipelines
In order to clarify the wax deposition characteristics of high wax crude oil and identify the rules of wax deposition,an improved dynamic wax deposition experimental device was used to study the wax deposition characteristics of high wax crude oil,and the influence of different factors on the wax deposition rate was investigated.The results show that as the experimental flow rate,gas oil ratio,mineralization degree,and water content gradually increase,the wax deposition rate of the target high wax crude oil shows a gradually decreasing trend.As the experimental pressure gradually increases,the wax deposition rate of the target high wax crude oil shows a trend of"first decreasing and then increasing".In addition,the influence of pH value on the wax deposition rate of the target high wax crude oil is relatively small.The addition of pour point depressant ST-2 can significantly reduce the wax deposition rate of the target high wax crude oil.When the mass fraction of pour point depressant ST-2 is 0.12%,the wax deposition rate can be reduced to 0.0005mm·h-1.Compared with the crude oil sample without pour point depressant added,the wax deposition rate is reduced by 97.06%.In the pipeline transportation process of high wax crude oil,suitable pour point depressants can be added appropriately to minimize the risk of wax deposition on pipeline blockage.
