Study on the effect of steel-polyethylene fiber on mechanics and frost resistance of geopolymer concrete
Geopolymer has been widely used in the field of construction engineering because of its advantages of wide source, low price. In order to analyze the effect of steel fiber and polyvinyl alcohol fiber on the mechanics and frost resistance of geopolymer concrete, the samples of geopolymer concrete with different steel fiber and polyvinyl alcohol fiber were prepared, and their compressive strength, elastic modulus, tensile strength, impact toughness and frost resistance were tested. The optimal composite fiber content was determined. The results show that the compressive strength, elastic modulus, splitting tensile strength, impact toughness and frost resistance of geopolymer concrete all increase first and then decrease with the increase of the content of steel fiber and polyvinyl alcohol fiber. When the content of fiber is 0.9%~1.2%,the mechanical properties, impact resistance and frost resistance of geopolymer concrete are the best, and mixed fiber is better than polyvinyl alcohol fiber or steel fiber alone.
