Development of sol-gel superhydrophobic film materials and their metal protection effects
This study successfully synthesized a superhydrophobic silane/graphene oxide(SSi-GO)composite coating with excellent corrosion protection performance on steel surfaces by sol-gel method. The structure and morphology of the prepared SSi-GO coating were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,Raman spectroscopy, contact angle goniometer, and scanning electron microscopy. The test results indicate that a more protective and durable coating is formed due to the covalent reaction between silane and GO nanosheets. The corrosion resistance of plate coated with the SSi-GO coating was investigated using salt spray experiments and electrochemical methods, demonstrating that the SSi-GO composite coating effectively enhances the corrosion resistance of plate.
