Development and application of ionic liquids technology in CO2 capture
The advantages and disadvantages of CO2 capture, utilization and storage(CCUS)methods such as absorption and adsorption, chemical chain combustion and low-temperature distillation, separation and membrane separation based hydrate are compared and analyzed. The high energy demand, solvent loss and degradation, corrosiveness and toxicity of solvent absorption limit its application.Developing new materials and technologies for CCUS is a future research direction, where various ionic liquids and their complex solvents can be used to efficiently and economically separate CO2 from gas streams. The research progress of ionic liquids for CO2 capture is reviewed, which is compared with various traditional methods. The technical principle, scheme and industrial testing and development goals of YNDC ionic liquids are introduced.YNDC ionic liquids have the characteristics of high absorption load, low regeneration energy consumption, high thermal stability and low corrosiveness when used for CO2 capture, which have great application prospects in CO2 chemical absorption capture processes.
