Assessment of Carbon Emission Reduction Potential for Campus Buildings within Operational Phase in Hot Summer and Warm Winter Region——An Example of a Campus in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Centre
Carbon peak and carbon neutrality are hot issues in the current society,and the carbon emission at universities is the key to safeguard the carbon neutrality,within which,the carbon emission reduction in the operation period of university buildings is a crucial part.In this paper,we take a campus in Guangzhou University City as the object to explore the carbon reduction potential for campus buildings in the operation period in hot summer and warm winter zone.Energy Plus software was used to simulate and analyze the carbon reduction effects of various retrofit measures in envelope structure and operation management,and to quantify and compare the reduction rate of the campus as a whole after different stages of retrofit.The study can provide data reference for the university management to formulate a reasonable carbon neutral course of action.
