A Review of Carbon Footprint Research on the Whole Life Cycle of Buildings
The construction industry is one of the industries that produce the most carbon footprints, and with the increasing volume of buildings, energy saving and emission reduction in the construction industry is urgent.Based on the relevant academic results that have been published at home and abroad, the carbon emission reduction policies of some countries in the world are sorted out,and the sources of different stages of production and transportation of buildings, construction, operation and maintenance, demolition,to the disposal of building waste. The latest research results on reducing carbon emissions are summarised in terms of the use of alternative additives in building materials, improved design, reuse of construction waste and water resources, and improvement of the efficiency of the building system, which provide feasible suggestions for reference in exploring the energy-saving and emission-reduction models of the construction industry and the formulation of policies.
