Exploration of New Idea for Discipline Construction of Agricultural Engineering
Agricultural engineering is a highly practical and cross applied discipline,that serves as a l ink be-tween agriculture and industry,and is also an important component of higher agricultural education.With the emer-gence of new agricultural and engineering disciplines,agricultural engineering education will also face opportunities and challenges.Currently,the development of agricultural engineering discipline in China is still not comprehensive and faces various challenges.It has resulted in a specialized but narrow and deep professional system.Key issues in-clude the lack of mature curriculum construction and a systematic teaching system at universities,low integration be-tween different disciplines,an excessive emphasis on engineering science in course design,leading to a disconnect between engineering and agriculture,overly narrow curriculum structures with generally high study hours,and an ag-ing faculty in the field of agricultural engineering.In response to these problems in agricultural engineering educa-tion in China,this paper takes the construction of agricultural engineering disciplines in Huanghe Science and Tech-nology College as an example,and explores new ideas and methods for developing and constructing agricultural engi-neering disciplines in the context of new agricultural science.The discussion covers the integration of ideological and political education,the establishment of a novel talent cultivation model for agricultural engineering,optimization of curriculum design,creation of teacher teams,and the reform of teaching methods.
