Research on How to Improve the Information-Based Teaching Ability of English-Major Teachers in Universities in Henan Province from the Perspective of TPACK Theory
With the continuous and rapid development of information technology,English teachers in universi-ties are encouraged to use solid and systematic language skills and technology-integrated pedagogical knowledge to carry out their teaching,and the application of TPACK theory in the field of education is gradually popularized.However,English-major teachers in universities in Henan province still have some problems concerning information-based teaching,such as the limited cognition,insufficient practical skill,and insufficient designing ability of informa-tion-based teaching,and the imperfect teaching effect evaluation mechanism etc.Therefore,it is necessary to en-hance the awareness of the importance of information-based teaching,improve the teacher's information-based teaching ability,promote the full integration of the three elements of TPACK theory,and build the evaluation and feedback mechanism with multiple dimensions in the whole process.With these diversified development paths,we can guide English-major teachers in universities in Henan province to better adapt to the information age,improve their information-based teaching ability,and promote the continuous improvement of English major's teaching quality.
