Heluo area,which is centered around Songshan Mountain,is the core area where the central plain civilization originated.Its prehistoric archaeological cultural remains possess their own independent cultural origins,the distinctive pottery combinations,enduring archaeological cultural traditions,and stable distribution range in space and time.In the pattern of Chinese prehistoric culture,Heluo area has an independent cultural region status,which can be called Heluo cultural region.Its prehistoric archaeological culture features both oriental Dongyi group and western Huaxia group,and its nature should be the cultural remains of Zhuanxu clan recorded in literature.Its civilization process has its own unique pattern,and it is the direct source of Erlitou civilization.Heluo cultural region is one of the areas where the prehistoric culture in China interacted and exchanged most intensely and influenced most profoundly.It is just this thorough cultural openness and compatibility that make Heluo culture region give birth to the earliest kingdom civilization in China.
