Reflections on the Non-Agricultural Development of Rural Economy in China
With the in-depth carrying forward of China's rural reform, the connotation of the farmer,agricul-ture,and village has also correspondingly changed. The non-agricultural development of rural economy is the ob-jective requirement as the division of social labor in urban and rural areas develops to a certain stage. The dispersion of the rural agricultural population and the concentration of the industrial and commercial population in large and medium-sized cities indicates that the level of industrial and agricultural development is not high enough, and it is also an obstacle to the further economic and social development of urban and rural areas. We should promote the non-agricultural development of rural economy in accordance with the situation, which is the inevitable choice to realize the coordinated development of urban and rural areas and the modernization of national economy. There exist a certain degree in the non-agricultural development of rural economy, that is,it is not to eliminate agriculture, but to achieve the agricultural modernization faster and better.Compared with the developed capitalist countries, the non-agricultural development of rural economy in China is not built on the elimination of rural cottage industry,in-stead,its aim is to develop the rural economy,it tries to enhance the momentum for the development of agriculture, and it takes the transfer of the agricultural labor force on the spot as the condition.
