Study on Preparation and Photocatalytic Properties of ZnO/CaCO3 Composites under the Regulation of SDBS
ZnO/CaCO3 composites were prepared by coprecipitation method using ZnCl2,CaCl2 and Na2 CO3 as the reactants and Sodium Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonate(SDBS)as dispersant and morphology regulator.XRD and FT-IR results showed that the structures of ZnO and CaCO3 were hexagonal wurtzite and calcite respectively in the composites.SEM results showed that the aggregation of ZnO particles was improved under the regulation of SDBS.In the composites,ZnO particles were spherical-like shape formed by the loose arrangement of layers and CaCO3 par-ticles were hexahedron with a side length of 4 μm and smooth surface.ZnO/CaCO3 composites had better photocata-lytic degradation performance than ZnO,which might be due to the regulation of SDBS in the synthesis of the materi-als and the synergistic effect of ZnO and CaCO3 in the composites. After five cycles of degradation experiments, the degradation ratio for Methylene blue was still over 94%,which indicated that the composites had good photocatalytic stability.
