From the Principle of Entropy Increase to the Principle of Potential Increase—the Information Mechanism of the Orderly Evolution of Open Systems
On the basis of the logical deduction of"potential is information,negative entropy,and order=difference x relation",the potential increase principle proposes that the complex open system follows the informa-tion mechanism of"difference promotes connection,and connection enlarges difference",and further extends three laws.First,the law of the operation of potential,that is,difference promotes the connection,and the connection en-larges the difference,therefore the tendency does not change.Second,the law of potential evolution,that is,as the potential unceasingly strengthens,at a certain critical point,the system will have a non-equilibrium phase transi-tion and the nonlinear bifurcation,resulting in the innovative development and risk at different levels.Third,the law of symmetry and break of the potential,that is,the potential increases in certain level,the difference between the el-ements is bigger and bigger,the connection is tighter and tighter,then finally the potential reaches the both opposite and complementary"symmetry"state.As the system further development,the symmetry in lower level should break,then the sudden emergence and stratification occur,and finally,a high level of"symmetry"will be reached.The principle of potential increase not only explains the law of the operation of complex system,but also reveals the dynamic essence of the orderly evolution of the systems such as social progress,organizational development,the growth of talent etc..It provides the enlightenment for us to grasp the the entropy increase in the confrontation be-tween"time"and"potential":seize the opportunity in time and grasp the general trend of the history in the reform;increase the potential and accumulate the information as the potential in the opening up;plan and achieve the poten-tial,and transform the information to show the potential while increasing the potential.
