The Institute of Yellow River Civilization and its Sustainable Development in Henan University,The Yellow River Civilization and its Sustainable Development being published by the institute,and the disciplinary platforms such as the high-level forum of"the Yellow River Studies"being sponsored by the institute,these units have accumulated rich disciplinary resources and formed an independent knowledge system in the process of the Yellow River civilization being studied as a discipline.From"the Yellow studies",then"Yellow River studies",to"Yellow River civilization"as a group of disciplines,and marked by the independent establishment of"Yellow River studies"as an interdisciplinary doctor station,Yellow River studies now become the interdisciplinary subject concerning the philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics.By defining the interdisciplinary nature of"Yellow River studies",confirming the Yellow River,the Yellow River basin,and the Yellow River civilization as the main research content of"Yellow River studies",and clearly proposing that the goal of the construction of"Yellow River studies"is to serve the major strategic needs of the country,the disciplinary system of"Yellow River studies"has been initially constructed.The marking concept of the Yellow River civilization,the discourse expression of the Yellow River civilization,and the construction of the major propositions such as the inheritance of the Yellow River civilization and the building of modern civilization,these topics constitute the important content of the Yellow River civilization discourse system.
