At present,the cultivation of application-oriented talents in universities have some challenges.As a new type of teaching mode,project-based teaching is helpful in the following aspects:implement the"practice ed-ucation"and strengthen the connection between learning content and social life;advocate the comprehensive learn-ing and enhance the students'learning initiative;and focus on the improvement of students'vocational ability while adopting the diversified evaluation.To practice the project-based teaching in the cultivation of applied talents in u-niversities,it is necessary to carry out systematic design in the following aspects:"project selection,project design,project start-up,project execution,the display of project results,and the evaluation and reflection of the project".
