Private Education or Public Education:the Characteristics of Families in the Diversion of Education Selection in Compulsory Education Stage and its Causes
Under the policy of nearby enrollment in compulsory education,there has been an obvious phenome-non of educational choice diversion in rural families.Some rural families have given up free public schools and cho-sen private schools that need to charge fees.At present,the families that choose private schools in the stage of com-pulsory education can be summarized into four types,showing diversified and popular characteristics.Families who choose private schools are influenced jointly by four factors:family,teachers,schools,and policies.The existence of private schools provides the families with more educational choices and has a positive impact on promoting the reali-zation of educational equity in China.
