There has been a complex interplay between language, literature, and ethnicity.Linguistic forms and elements in ethnic literature are issues worthy of our attention.Clearly, the combination of language and ethnic identity forms a binary form of mother tongue/non-native tongue. The combination of mother tongue and non-native tongue is generally referred to as bilingualism, but at the same time, there are significant differences in concepts, characteristics, and literary practices between mother tongue and non-native tongue.Writing in the mother tongue is the primary form of ethnic literature, but it cannot be denied that due to the need to balance homogeneity and heterogeneity in cultural transmission, and due to distrust in cultural translation,self-translation is adopted, and the writing of non-native tongue plays an important role in ethnic literature.
