Preparation and Characterization of Porous Pyridyl Anion Exchange Resins by Suspension Polymerization
Porous pyridyl weakly basic anion exchange resin(4VP-DVB)was successfully prepared by suspension polymerization;then, strong basic anion exchange resin(4VP-DVBQ)was obtained by quaternization.Characterization such as particle size analysis, scanning electron microscope(SEM),adsorption isotherm technique(BET),Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FT IR)and thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA)were performed for both resins, and the cost assessment was carried out.The results showed that both resins have a regular spherical structure with particle sizes ranging from 40 to 130μm and the porous structure with an average pore size of 15 nm;in addition.TGA can prove that both resins have good thermal stability, and the initial decomposition temperature is above 200 ℃.
