Advances of the Microneedle Array for Interstitial Fluid Detection
Interstitial fluid is an important source of biomarkers for disease diagnosis. As a minimally invasive technique, microneedle array can avoid contact with blood vessels and nerves when entering subcutaneous interstitial fluid, resulting in less pain and easy acceptance by patients. It has been widely used in various fields. The use of microneedle arrays to detect interstitial fluid can provide more information for clinical diagnosis. The preparation process of microneedle arrays is relatively simple and has multiple functions and high stability. Therefore, microneedle arrays have gradually become a research hotspot. This paper not only introduces the important significance of detecting biomarkers in interstitial fluid for human health monitoring, but also summarizes the classification of microneedle arrays for interstitial fluid detection and the materials used in their preparation. Finally, this article focuses on the application of microneedle arrays in sampling and detection of interstitial fluid, and discusses the development prospects and challenges of microneedle arrays in interstitial fluid detection.
