The Periodic Table"Gained A Third Dimension——Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2023"Discovery and Synthesis of Quantum dots"
Moungi G.Bawendi,Louis E.Brus and Alexey I.Ekimov have been awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their breakthrough in the"discovery and synthesis of quantum dots".Ekimov and Brus discovered quantum dots independently,and Bawendi revolutionised the chemical production of quantum dots,laying a solid foundation for their high-quality production.By reviewing the background and process of their research,this paper discusses the importance of promoting knowledge transfer and integration,developing multidisciplinary exchange and strengthening teamwork in effective collaboration.It also provides thoughts on the importance of creating innovative and stimulating environment and patience for cultivating successful results.
