Application of Organic Photosensitizers for Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction
Photocatalytic CO2 reduction is a crucial strategy for converting solar energy into valuable chemical raw materials.Photosensitizers can enhance the light absorption and electron transfer capacity of photocatalytic systems, thereby improving catalytic efficiency with the photocatalysis.Compared with widely used metal-based photosensitizers, organic photosensitizers with adjustable energy levels are more cost-effective and environmentally friendly, and have extensive development potential. This review summarizes the research progress of organic photosensitizers in the field of CO2 reduction of CO and discusses the challenges and prospects for their development.
