Tsai Khi-Rui,known as"China's leading catalytic scholar",is a renowned physical chemist and educator in China.As a researcher,he has established the first catalytic teaching and research department in Chinese universities,proposed four effects for catalysis,developed molecular catalysis research methods,and devoted himself to the research of carbon-one chemistry for new energy with composite catalysts.As an educator,he has advocated innovation,meticulousness,interdisciplinary teamwork spirit and paid attention to personnel training for catalysis talents.This article focuses on reviewing Prof.Tsai Khi-Rui's experiences for scientific research,highlighting his outstanding contributions to the field of catalysis,energy and chemical engineering,and education.
