Recent Advances in Biosensing Platforms for ATP Detection
Adenosine triphosphate(ATP)is the basic energy source of organisms, and is involved in many important physiological activities such as energy transfer, cell metabolism, enzyme catalysis and cell signal transduction. At present, many studies have found that changes in ATP content are closely related to the occurrence of many serious diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, malignant tumors,Parkinson's disease,Alzheimer's disease, and depression. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop the biosensing platform with high sensitivity and selectivity to detect ATP.This review briefly introduces the basic concept, physiological significance and traditional methods for detecting ATP,focuses on various biosensing platforms for ATP detection, including optical sensing platform, electrical sensing platform, photoelectrochemical sensing platform, etc.,and discusses its current challenges and future development prospects.
