Progress in FexVO4-Type Iron-Vanadium Oxide Anode Materials for Lithium-Ion Batteries
Due to their high theoretical specific capacity, high voltage plateau, environmental friendliness, and low cost,FexVO4-type ferrovanadium oxides have become one of the energy storage materials that are expected to replace graphite. However, the low intrinsic conductivity of FexVO4 and the poor cycling stability due to volume expansion hinder the promotion of its practical application. This paper summarizes the research on FexVO4 anode materials in recent years.Based on the crystal structure and ion migration mechanism of FexVO4 material, its charging and discharging mechanism is introduced. It focuses on the modification research strategy to improve the electrochemical performance of FexVO4 electrode materials, which is divided into two major categories of composition modification and morphology modification according to the different modification mechanisms of the materials, including ion doping, carbon material modification, and material nanosizing. Finally, the challenges and prospects for the future development of FexVO4 are envisioned, and feasible suggestions are made for the future research focus of the material.
