Determination of trace moisture content in glycerol by near-infrared spectrometry
Using near-infrared spectrometry, combined with the data of trace moisture content in glycerol determined by Karl Fischer method,a quantitative near-infrared analytical model for trace moisture content in glycerol was established by chemometrics method. The determination coefficient of internal cross verification was 0.997 5,the mean square deviation of internal cross verification was 0.001 77,and the determination range was 0.015 6%~0.151 2%.After validation of the model with external samples,it was found that there was no significant difference in the moisture content results predicted by the model and determined by Karl Fischer method, and the precision and stability were good.Based on the model evaluated by external verification,a near-infrared spectrometry for the determination of trace moisture content in glycerol was developed. This determination method is short time-consuming,reliable,cost-effective,waste liquid-free,and real-time non-destructive.After replacing the Karl Fischer method,it can significantly improve the work efficiency.
