Basic research on corrosion problem of bourrelet of a solidrocket motor shell after vulcanization
The problem of corrosion on the metal surface of the bourrelet of a certain type of solid rocket motor during shell preparation process was introduced.The energy spectrum analysis of the middle bourrelet,rear bourrelet of the combustion chamber shell,the surface paint layer of the shell,the manual debonding layer and the insulation layer was carried out using scanning electron microscopy.The results showed that the rusting in the bourrelet of the shell was due to the chlorine element in the paint layer and the moisture in the insulation layer.Under the environment of high temperature(usually 150 ℃)of vulcanization of the insulation layer,the chlorine element reacted with water to produce the acidic gas.The shell of the solid rocket motor was enveloped in the environment of acidic gas for a long time,and its surface was prone to chemical corrosion to form the rusting.Through the verification of the use of a primer that is not prone to produce volatiles,it can effectively prevent the surface rusting of the bourrelet of the shell.
