Gansu Province Higher Education Self-Study Examination:Research on the Construction and Implementation of a Diversified Evaluation System—Taking Undergraduate Nursing as an Example
Objective:To construct a diversified evaluation system for higher education self-study exams in Gansu Province and enhance the quality of self-study exams for nursing majors.Method:Literature research on the development history of self-study exams in Gansu Province;research on the competent departments for self-study exams in the province,such as the Gansu Provincial Education Examination Institute and universities like Lanzhou University and Gansu Medical College that conduct self-study exam business;interviews with relevant staff;design of a questionnaire to survey 494 medical staff,15 teachers,and 251 self-taught students from 10 hospitals;establishment of a diversified evaluation system based on skill assessment.The diver-sified evaluation of self-study exams can enhance the comprehensive abilities of candidates.67.73%of self-study students and 80%of teachers support the increase of practical skill assessment,with skill assessment accounting for 30%.The evaluation mod-el of professional core course closed book examination + practical skill assessment is adopted.Conclusion:A diversified evalua-tion system can enhance the quality of self-study exams and requires further promotion and improvement.
