The Ecological Research Base Is Used to Explore the New Mode of Nature Education——Taking the Zhangye Wetland Museum as an Example
Nature education is a new form of education for children and adolescents that has emerged in China in re-cent years and is currently in the exploratory development stage.As a window for the public to understand nature,wetland museums play an important role in nature education.How wetland museums carry out nature education is an important top-ic worth studying.Taking the Zhangye Wetland Museum as an example,this article explores a new model of nature educa-tion by leveraging the advantages of the ecological research base to conduct a series of wetland nature education activities with young people as the main target,local wetlands as the theme curriculum,on-site experience as the main method,and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature as the overall goal.By observing the natural elements,environ-ment,and phenomena of wetlands,students have deepened their understanding of the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature,enhanced their awareness of protecting the ecological environment,and achieved a positive role in disseminating wetland knowledge,practicing ecological civilization,and promoting harmonious coexistence between hu-mans and nature.This provides a reference for the development of nature education in the region.
