Hexi Baojuan is an oral storytelling art rooted in the folk culture of Hexi region,which is an important cul-tural heritage and a precious treasure of the Chinese nation.However,with the progress of modernization,the belief sys-tem that Hexi Baojuan relies on is gradually disappearing,and its survival space is shrinking.In addition,due to the out-dated performance style,the audience's attention and recognition has sharply declined.Hexi Baojuan faces severe chal-lenges in protection and inheritance.Establishing a database to achieve original ecological protection and information shar-ing,innovating the concept of protection and inheritance to achieve dynamic inheritance,and leveraging the integration of culture and tourism to expand the influence of Hexi Baojuan and promote its inheritance and development are effective ways to protect and inherit Hexi Baojuan,which are worth exploring and practicing.
