Among the many titles of the Emperor of Xixia, the Chenghao is particularly special. The"Cheng"in cit-ies such as Fengjiaocheng,Zhenbicheng,Mingcheng,Baicheng,Zhucheng, and Hucheng refers to the dwelling place in the sky, representing the emperor's recognition of the sage monarch descending from the sky.Starting from the Yuanhao period, the formulation of the Chenghao in the Xixia Dynasty combined the Central Plains Emperor's Star Descending to Earth, the Northern tribal khans'title determination based on responsibilities, and folk astrology and divination. This re-flects the Xixia Dynasty's absorption and integration of diverse cultures. The changes in the form of the Chenghao over time also reflect the influence of the political environment on the Xixia Emperor's concept of destiny. The Chenghao origi-nated from the process of cultural exchange and integration among multiple ethnic groups in ancient China, demonstrating the broad-mindedness of ancient Chinese culture.
