西夏任得敬分国考
A Study on the Division of the State by Ren Dejing in the Western Xia Dynasty

摘要
"任得敬分国"是西夏仁宗朝的一次政治危机.史书皆载任得敬专权,甚至胁迫夏仁宗分国.然观仁宗之应对,疑点颇多.任得敬可称专权,但并未脱离仁宗控制;仁宗之退避忍让,源自其为应对宋、金对峙时,外部环境的需要.
Abstract
"Rendejing divided the state"was a political crisis during the Renzong Dynasty of Xixia.Historical records indi-cate that Ren Dejing had a monopoly on power and even forced Emperor Xia Renzong to divide the kingdom.However,there are many doubts about Renzong's response.This paper argues that while Ren Dejing can be considered a dictator,he was not beyond Renzong's control.Renzong's retreat and forbearance stemmed from the need to manage the external environment and the con-frontation between the Song and Jin dynasties.
