A Study on the Measurement of Original Spoken Vocabulary:A Case Study of 12 Illiterates in Qin'an County of Gansu Province
With the continuous popularization of Chinese language education,native spoken language is on the verge of disappearing,and currently,there is relatively little linguistic research on this type of language.Based on a review of relevant oral language research,this article establishes a framework and criteria for describing native spoken language vo-cabulary.Using a self-constructed spoken language corpus of over 300,000 characters,the article describes the vocabu-lary characteristics of native spoken language.Statistical analysis shows that native spoken language has a low type-token ratio,low lexical density,high usage rate of high-frequency words,shorter word length,a small number of commonly used words,and low usage rate of conjunctions.The conclusion is that these lexical features specifically reflect that native spoken language is a form of colloquial everyday speech.
