Quantitative Analysis of Osteoporotic Vertebral Fractures Using Energy Spectral CT Material Separation Technique
Objective:To study the effect of energy spectrum CT material separation technique in differentiating acute and chronic osteoporotic vertebral fractures. Methods:A total of 180 patients with osteoporotic vertebral fractures were en-rolled between June 2020 and June 2023.The patients were divided into two groups:the acute group(acute osteoporotic ver-tebral fractures)and the chronic group(chronic osteoporotic vertebral fractures),with 90 patients in each group.Vertebral compression fractures were classified into three grades:mild, moderate, and severe. The diagnostic ability of HAP-water and calcium-water was evaluated. Results:The values of HAP-water and calcium-water in the acute group were higher than those in the chronic group.Additionally,HAP-water and calcium-water values in the acute group were consistently higher across different grades of vertebral compression fractures(p<0.05).Conclusion:The energy spectrum CT material separa-tion technique can effectively differentiate acute and chronic osteoporotic vertebral fractures and has clinical value.
