Correction of the Annotation Records on Three Kinds of Buddhist Sutras in Dunhuang Manuscripts
The records of some Dunhuang Buddhist Sutras are found in Volume 85 of the Taisho Tripitaka(大正藏)and in-The Correction of Dunhuang Lost and Suspected Buddhist Scriptures:Focusing on Volume 85 of the Taisho Tripitaka(敦煌本古佚与疑伪经校注——以大正藏第八十五册为中心).The latter rearranges the former, addressing numerous errors in the original recordings. However,it also contains issues such as misrecording(误录),missing recording(缺录),omission(漏录),incor-rect supplementation(误补),and misplaced entries(误倒).Focusing on Annotations on Hinayana Precepts(小乘戒律注疏),Volume 3 of Fa Hua Yi Ji(法华义记),and Volume 4 of Wei Mo Yi J(维摩义记),this paper examines 20 examples to analyze and explain these five types of problems.
