Effect of annealing process on the properties of PGA
PGA has internal stress in the melt-cooling process, and needs to be annealed, because the cooling rate is too fast. The effect of annealing temperature on the properties of PGA was studied. The crystallization properties and structure of PGA were investigated by DSC and POM.The effects of different annealing temperatures on the crystallization, thermal properties and mechanical properties of PGA were investigated by XRD,DSC and universal material testing machine. The experimental results show that PGA first forms acicular crystal nuclei, and then grows into spherulite gradually during the melt-cooling process. With the increase of cooling rate, the cold crystallization temperature and the crystallization time decrease. With the increase of annealing temperature, the relaxation temperature and the relaxation enthalpy of PGA increase, the strain decreases, and the elastic modulus increases, while the crystallinity and the maximum stress increase first and then decrease.
