Aggregation behavior of silica/carbon black in rubber composites
In this work, the rubber composites were prepared using carbon black or silica as the main reinforcing fillers.Multiple testing modes of Rubber Processing Analyzers(RPA)were used to study the Payne effect of composites under different storage times. The differences in the aggregation degrees of fillers under different storage times were analyzed, and the changes in the anti-aggregation ability of carbon black or silica with storage time were explored. The Payne effect differences of rubber composites before and after vulcanization temperature heat treatment were studied, and the anti-aggregation ability of each rubber compounds during the vulcanization process was analyzed.Based on the rheological test results of two types of composites at different temperatures, the aggregation of carbon black and silica at different heat treatment temperatures was further analyzed. The results show that the dispersion of carbon black filler is slightly poor, but the degree of aggregation is not affected by high temperature.White carbon black filler has good dispersibility and can alleviate the intensification of filler aggregation caused by high temperature by extending the storage time.
