Progress in the effects of pollutant stress and altered environmental conditions on root growth in Arabidopsis
Arabidopsis has a short growth cycle and a simple genome.Relevant research on its roots can provide a basis for studying the toxicity effect and influence mechanism of pollutants and external conditions stress on other plants. The change of pollutant stress and environmental conditions will affect the normal growth of Arabidopsis roots. Therefore, the stress response and response mechanisms made by Arabidopsis roots in the stress environment are critical, and a series of advances have been made in relevant studies. In this paper, the different stress responses and mechanisms of Arabidopsis thaliana roots were reviewed under the stress of inorganic pollutants, organic pollutants and altered environmental conditions, and it was found that Arabidopsis thaliana roots responded differently to different stress environments:1)Lower concentrations of metal ions would promote the growth and development of Arabidopsis thaliana roots, and vice versa,it would inhibit the growth and development of roots.2)The influence of organic pollutants on the root system of Arabidopsis thaliana was generally inhibited, resulting in a decrease in the length of the primary root and a decrease in the number of lateral roots.3)When external conditions stress occurs,it is relatively complex, and different stress responses of Arabidopsis thaliana will occur under different external conditions.
