Preparation and antibacterial properties of Cu-doped polydopamine nanoparticles
Antibiotic is the most common treatment for bacterial infections, and the emergence of bacterial resistance has made it more difficult to solve bacterial infections.A Cu2+doped ciprofloxacin-loaded polydopamine(PDA)nanoplatform with chemotherapy/photothermal/chemo-dynamics therapy(Cu-PDA@CIP)was developed for synergistic antibacterial therapy. The loading efficiency of Cu2+is greatly improved by doping Cu2+into the PDA skeleton, and Cu-PDA@CIP exhibits high peroxisase-like activity.Under the irradiation of near infrared(NIR),the combination of photothermal, antibiotic and chemo-dynamics on Gram-negative bacteria and Gram-positive bacteria can reached 99.9%,further demonstrating the advantages of the combination of antibiotic/photothermal therapy/chemo-dynamics therapy.
